Mompox hat 44.000 Einwohner und liegt tief im Landesinneren am R\u00edo Magdalena, mehr als 300 km s\u00fcd\u00f6stlich von Cartagena.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>&#8220;Klein Cartagena&#8221;<\/strong><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Mompox ist die Zeit stehen geblieben. Alte Handwerke wie Eisen-, Silber- und Goldschmiedekunst werden noch immer ausge\u00fcbt. Die Menschen sind freundlich und stolz auf ihre Stadt, und die Natur ist immer in der N\u00e4he. Sie k\u00f6nnen durch gem\u00fctliche Stra\u00dfen mit wei\u00dfen H\u00e4usern, \u00fcber Pl\u00e4tze mit sch\u00f6nen Kirchen aus der Kolonialzeit und entlang der Uferpromenade spazieren. Aufgrund der Erosion des Flusses mussten die Schiffe jedoch eine andere Route finden. Die Einwohner zogen woanders hin und Mompox war jahrelang von der Au\u00dfenwelt abgeschnitten. Die Stadt inspirierte den ber\u00fchmten kolumbianischen Schriftsteller Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez: Es gibt starke \u00c4hnlichkeiten zwischen Mompox und dem fiktiven Dorf Macondo aus seinen Romanen.     <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Mompox, Momp\u00f3s oder Mompoj?<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es gibt mehrere Namen, auf die Sie im Internet sto\u00dfen werden, wenn Sie Mompox googeln.
