Mocoa ist die Hauptstadt des Departements Putumayo im S\u00fcdwesten Kolumbiens, einer Region, die an Peru und Ecuador grenzt. Es ist ein noch unentdecktes Paradies f\u00fcr Naturliebhaber, die zu den vielen Wasserf\u00e4llen in der Umgebung wandern k\u00f6nnen. Die Stadt hat 30.000 Einwohner. <\/p>\n

Mocoa ist f\u00fcr seine Wasserf\u00e4lle bekannt und der ber\u00fchmteste Wasserfall ist der 75 Meter hohe Fin del Mundo. <\/strong>Dieser Wasserfall befindet sich in einem Naturreservat mit noch mehr Wasserf\u00e4llen und nat\u00fcrlichen Pools. Rucksacktouristen auf dem Weg von Kolumbien nach Ecuador machen oft einen Zwischenstopp in der Stadt und \u00fcbernachten in einem der Hostels oder Hotels in Mocoa<\/strong><\/a>. Denn diese Gegend wird bei einer Reise durch Kolumbien oft \u00fcbersprungen. Es ist ein echtes Ziel “abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade”. <\/p>\n

Hinter der sch\u00f6nen Landschaft verbirgt sich eine tragische Geschichte. Im Jahr 2017 t\u00f6tete ein Erdrutsch mehr als 250 Menschen, nachdem es tagelang geregnet hatte und Schlammlawinen die Stadt \u00fcberschwemmten.<\/p>\n
